If you're having a flare up, if applicable take antihistamines, these can be found over the counter, prescribed by the NHS or by a private healthcare provider.
Clean the afflicted area with either just luke warm water or a non-alcoholic based & fragrance free soap.
Completely pat try the afflicted area!
Do not rub!
Use a cotton covered cooled from the fridge gel pad on the allected area for a minimum of 10 minuets.
Do not use ice pads and do not use anything wet!
I use an eye gel pad with the cotton cover on my neck as that's where I break out in hives and the straps help keep it in place.
If your skin is no longer inflamed or wheeping then apply suitable creams.
If still inflamed keep using covered gel pads until it settles, if wheeping, pat dry and wait until the wound if closed before applying creams.
If you apply creams to early you can make the inflammation worse and have to redo these steps.
Right now there is no cure so the best we can do is prevent a flare up from happening.
Know your allergens!
Avoid perfumes, alcohol, high pollenated areas, dust, fragrances, damp weather, furry, harsh chemical waters like swimming pools and more...
